Project # 3091 – Directory
Export (North
Winds Excel Output) Directory Sections
Directory Export is located
on the Riata Programs Menu.

When exporting in the North
Winds Excel format, the Excel file has a new column for "Directory
Section". During the export, the
program now tries to find each listing's directory section by using a new User
Edit called ‘ DIRECTORY- SECTION NPANXX’ and based
upon the NPA and NXX
defined in the User Edit.
Setup User Edit:
Field
1 = DIRECTORY-SECTION
Field 2 = NPANXX
(6 digits with No Dashes or Spaces)
Field 3 = Directory Section Name
Field 4 through 8 = Leave Blank
If a matching User Edit is Not found, the NPA and NXX are written in the Directory Section column.
Note: A separate DIRECTORY-SECTION user edit must be
created for each NPA and NXX
that you want to assign a directory section to.
For a listing with long names
that are continued on a subsequent listing with the same number, you can now
have the name merged into one listing.
The merged name can be up to 50 characters long. Any blank spaces are removed from the end of
the name in the first record before adding to the second.
To have a listing's name
continuation automatically merged, enter "9" as the Indent Level of
the continuation listing, as in the example below:
Example:
In the directory file XDIRR2, the following listing has been given a duplicate phone number record in order to extend the name past 40 characters; the duplicate is given an indent level of 9.
|
Phone # |
Indent Level |
Name |
Address |
City |

2084361122 |
0 |
Example
name with over 40 characters |
|
|
|
2084361122 |
9 |
in total. |
|
Rupert |
If the
option "North Winds Merge Names on Indent = 9" is checked, this will
result in the following single listing in the Excel file:
|
Phone # |
Indent Level |
Name |
Address |
City |
|
2084361122 |
0 |
Example
name with over 40 characters in total. |
|
Rupert |
Also, with the "North
Winds Merge on Indent = 9" option checked, listings with multiple lines
and the same phone number will now be exported differently.
In the Excel file, the
listing's Phone Number, Address and City will now appear ONLY on the last line
having the same phone number. The
address and city in the last line are copied from the first non-blank address
or city found; they do not have to be in the first or last line.
Example: With the following listing data in the directory file:
|
Phone # |
Indent Level |
Name |
Address |
City |

2084361122 |

This is based on the Revenue
Belongs to and the Bill Type Codes that come from the Tariff Master.
An example of this could be;
A Cellular Statement you want Roaming, Text Messaging to show in their own Sections
rather than have them all grouped together as Cellular
Charges.
Revenue Belongs to & Bill

Project #3106
– Discount
for Multiple Services
We have made a new way to
give a discount for multiple services, like an Account that has Landline Services
and Cellular Services. You could give a Discount
for the Cellular Service. This discount would be a Percentage of the cost of
the Cellular Service Plan. This works by putting a new tariff code on a phone
number that indicates that this Account qualifies for the discount. This tariff
code is put in a User Edit. We then look for other phone numbers on the account
that have another tariff code from a list of tariff codes from the User
Edits. There are two
new User Edit that need set up. They are ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-QUALIFY’
and RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-MUST-HAVE’.
Note: This is Similar to User Edits, ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION2-MUST-HAVE & RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION2-QUALIFY.
User Edit ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-MUST-HAVE’
This
user edit goes along with OPTION4-QUALIFY to give a
list of tariff codes to check and match up with the qualifying tariff. Field 3 must match the qualifying tariff
setup in the ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-QUALIFY’
user edit. If you need room for more tariff codes, multiples of this User Edit are allowed.
Field 1 = RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF
Field 2
= OPTION4-MUST-HAVE
Field 3 = Qualifying Tariff Code (Must match Field 3 in ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-QUALIFY’ User Edit).
Field 4 through 8 = Tariff Codes to
Check (3 Tariff Codes per line, separated by a period)

The Example shown, would provide a List of Tariffs to Check for Qualifying Tariff ‘XQUAL’. (See RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-QUALIFY’ User Edit for Qualifying Tariffs).
User Edit ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-QUALIFY’
This
user edit will let you give a Customer a Discount if they have a Qualifying Tariff
Code and another Tariff from a list of codes (Setup in user edit ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-MUST-HAVE’).
The two tariff codes can be on separate phone numbers but must be on the same Account.
There can be multiple discounts given but there must be a qualifying tariff to
match one from the list. User Edit ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-MUST-HAVE’
will have the list of tariffs to check. This discount is a percentage of the
cost.
Field 1 = RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF
Field 2
= OPTION4-QUALIFY
Field 3 = Qualifying Tariff Code
(Must match Field 3 in ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-MUST-HAVE’
User Edit).
Field 4 = Tariff Code for Billing
Field 5 = Discount Percentage – 4 Decimal Places (Example; 0500 = 5%)
Field 6 through 8 = Leave Blank

The Example shown, will give a 5% Discount if a Phone Number on an Account has the Qualifying Tariff Code of ‘XQUAL’ and the XBILL Tariff Code as the Billing Tariff Code. And the Qualifying Tariff Code of ‘XQUAL’ matches with Field 3 in User Edit ‘RECURDISCOUNTTARIFF OPTION4-MUST-HAVE’.

for the Sales Report.

setup you will need to setup the New User Edit ‘SALES-REPORT-TARIFF’.

Field 1 = SALES-REPORT-TARIFF
Field 2 trough 8 = Leave Blank

Project #3241 – Change Source without Changing CPR Master
When
you are entering changes in the CPR Master and do an F12 or F24 for Adjustments,
if you have something entered in the Source(W/O,G/L) Field you will see a new window that will allow
you to change the Source(W/O,G/L) field that will be Out-Put
to the History File while not changing the Source(W/O,G/L)
in the CPR Master. You may want to blank
this out if it does not apply to this W/O, because if the change does not apply
to the W/O and you Un-do and leave the W/O in, when you undo, it pulls it into
the undo process.
From
Start1 Menu; select #8 (Workorders/CPR),
then #15 (Key CPR Master).

-
Change the Source (W/O, G/L) if needed. Press
F5.

Project #3138 – Customers Using Web-Site

If
you would like this change implemented on your Web Site, please contact Josh.
