There is a new option in the
Inventory History program called "Inventory Summary" which allows you
to browse all current inventory.
Quantities are sub-totaled by either Inventory # or Location. To run this browser, press the
"Inventory Summary" button on the Inventory History screen.
Results in the grid are
sub-totaled by Inv#/Description and Location.
You may change the organization of the subtotals by either using the
"Subtotal By" options at the bottom of the screen, or by dragging the
first two columns into the order you want.
For example, if you want to look at the inventory by specific location,
clicking on "Location" in the "Subtotal By" options will
put the "Location" column in the first position, followed by the
Inv#/Description column.

Swap INV# and Desc. This button
will change the reverse the order of the Inventory # and Description
values. This is helpful when sorting in
order to
alphabetize either by the Inventory # or by the Description.
Filters
There are three filters, one
for Inventory Number and Description, Serial Number and Electronic Serial
Number (ESN). You can click the
"Select All" button next to a filter in Inventory Summary to turn
that filter off.
Note: if Inventory #, Serial
# or ESN contain a value on the Inventory History screen, they will be used as
initial filter values in Inventory Summary.
Inventory entries must match
all three filters to appear in the grid.
To match an individual filter, an inventory entry must contain the text
entered in the filter. For example, if
the Inventory Number & Description
filter is set to "kyoc", all items with "kyoc" anywhere in
their description or inventory number will be selected. In the example below, all 6 inventory items
with "kyoc" in their inventory#/description and with
"0340810" in their ESN are selected:
Show All Filters & These buttons allow you to expose, either
one at a time or all at
Go To Next Match once, the detailed results
of the filtering. This works the same
way as
clicking the plus button
for each row in the outline at
the left
of the grid.
